Jordan

Electronic signatures and foreign certificates.

Jordan's Electronic Transactions Law No. 15 of 2015 is the framework for signing online. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship approves electronic certification certificates issued outside Jordan, under the procedures and controls it sets.

  • Foreign certificates

    The Ministry's role is recognition of foreign-issued electronic certification certificates when its procedures are met. That is not an approval of every signing product.

  • A protected signature

    Zoho's guide describes a protected signature as one that identifies the signer, stays under their control, and shows if the document changes later.
